Selection of an individual to fill this vacancy is determined by the appropriate administrators based upon experience, qualifications, and professional attributes. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

REPORTS TO:  Building Principal, Assistant Superintendent of Special Populations, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Supervisor

JOB GOALS: To devise and implement programs for students who have special needs which prevent them from learning through traditional means.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES:

1. Provides direct instruction to students in resource and/or general education learning environments. Facilitates case management services to students eligible for special education.
2. Evaluates the progress of students eligible for special education.
3. Communicates with parents regarding questions and concerns they may have relating to the students’ programs and services.
4. Collaborates with general education teachers to ensure appropriate instruction and supports for students eligible for special education.
5. Develops and implements IEPs and related documents for assigned students.
6. Performs other duties as requested by the Special Education Administrator or Building Principal.
