1.0 FTE

 

$24.37/hr per GMTTA Grounds Pay Scale

 

Facility Operations Center

 

QUALIFICATIONS:            

  1. High school diploma.
  2. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  3. Ability to safely operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
  4. Ability to maintain excellent attendance records, ensuring reliable and punctual presence in the workplace.
  5. Physical ability to perform assigned duties such as climb ladders, lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time.
  6. Demonstrated competency in assigned responsibilities.
  7. Completion of training program requirements outlined in the Grounds and Maintenance Handbook.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  1. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

REPORTS TO: Facilities Maintenance Manager

 

COMPENSATION: GMTTA Grounds Pay Scale

 

SUPERVISES: None

 

JOB GOAL: Responsible for basic grounds and maintenance services, maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse while coordinating materials to be delivered/received.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Receive, unload, and correctly place incoming inventory items and deliveries received.
  2. Maintains and organizes warehouse space and inventory, ensuring all warehouse shelving is kept in a clean and organized manner.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse by organizing inventory and workspace.
  4. Conduct thorough inspections of incoming items to identify any damage or missing components.
  5. Ensure the accuracy of inventory records through meticulous record-keeping.
  6. Coordinate the movement of materials according to work orders, facilitating efficient warehouse operations.
  7. Transport equipment, materials, or supplies between district buildings and events with care and a commitment to quality following instructions from the work order system and/or supervisor.
  8. Deliver courteous customer service while executing transportation tasks.
  9. Delivers mail to and from various district and non-district buildings, including bank deposits, pool water samples and Blessings in a Backpack.
  10. Appropriately utilize and maintain assigned materials and equipment to ensure longevity and efficiency.
  11. Promptly report any safety hazards or instances of equipment misuse.
  12. Adhere to strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  13. Mows, rakes, plants seeds, fertilizes, sprays weeds, and performs general construction and maintenance of lawn areas in and around building and school sites.
  14. Removes trash, or any other foreign materials from district property.
  15. Erects, repairs, and helps maintain all fences and signs on district sites.
  16. Plants and cares for trees, shrubs, and flowers.
  17. Supports Grounds and/or Facilities Maintenance co-workers as needed.
  18. Removes snow from all driveways, parking lots, sidewalks, and other areas around and on school buildings and sites.
  19. Assists with the asset disposal process.
  20. Properly uses and cares for all materials and equipment assigned to her/him.
  21. Reports immediately any unsafe or dangerous condition, and any irregular use of equipment, buildings, or grounds to the appropriate administrator.
  22. Carries out any duties outlined by the Facilities Manager, as well as any duties necessary to support custodial and maintenance functions within the District.

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  1. 12 month position
  2. Monday – Friday / 8 hours per day or alternate schedule as approved by the District.
