AUDITORIUM COORDINATOR

DISTRICTWIDE

 

QUALIFICATIONS:   

  1. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  2. Evidence of present use and understanding of all aspects of theater production; stage lighting, scenery design and construction, and stage and sound equipment.
  3. Excellent communication skills.
  4. Ability to work with the public.
  5. Experience and/or demonstrated ability to teach students.
  6. Group facilitation skills.
  7. Knowledge of theater components.
  8. Experience with computer software.

        

 

REPORTS TO:               Assistant Superintendent of Adult and Secondary Education

 

SUPERVISES:                High School Theater Managers

 

JOB GOAL:                    To facilitate and coordinate the effective and safe management of District high school auditoriums.

 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Works with clients to schedule and provide detailed cost estimates for all auditorium rentals.
  • Gives pre and post approval and cost adjustments for auditorium events.
  • Attends/supervises or arranges for supervision of all auditorium events.
  • Markets RCS auditoriums to the community.
  • Orders and maintains all equipment and supplies.
  • Compiles training and safety manuals and procedures for all auditoriums.
  • Oversees training of student workers; maintains a log of trained personnel.
  • Schedules student workers for auditorium events.
  • Verifies and approves time cards for student workers and theater managers.
  • Coordinates usage and storage of auditorium items.
  • Serves as technical director/scene designer/lighting/sound for at least two fall student productions and two spring student productions (leaving one stipend available in the fall and one stipend available in the spring).
  • Serves as supervisor for the high school theater managers.
  • Works with high school administration on graduation setup.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Adult and Secondary Education.
