1.0 FTE

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education Endorsement (SA).
  • Experience with Severe Multiple Impairments (SXI) preferred.
  • Experience working with severely multiply/cognitively impaired students, preferred.
  • Two years of teaching experience including one year in Special Education, preferred.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

SALARY:

Per Rochester Education Association Master Agreement

Selection of an individual to fill this vacancy is determined by the appropriate administrators based upon experience, qualifications, and professional attributes. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

REPORTS TO:  Building Principal and Assistant Superintendent of Special Populations, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion         

 

JOB GOAL:  To devise and implement individualized programs for students who have special needs which prevent them from learning through traditional means.          

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Comply with timelines, laws and regulations that relate to district, state, federal policies and procedures.
  2. Monitor and document student progress on IEP goals.
  3. Collaborate with all service providers, and other staff to develop instruction and support goals that are designed to meet the learning needs of students.
  4. Compile and submit monthly Medicaid reports.
  5. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
  6. Participate in building meetings as directed by the building principal.
  7. 200 day calendar
  8. Performs other duties as requested by the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.
