Professional, temporary teaching staff needed to teach MS STEM and Literacy (math/STEM/literacy) camp support for incoming grades 6-8 classes for the Rochester Community Schools.  Applications for these temporary positions will be accepted until filled.

Teachers will be expected to implement innovative instructional techniques that will lead to improved student achievement.  Emphasis will be given to higher level thinking skills, organization skills, integration of knowledge, connecting learning to prior knowledge, cooperative learning, active participation of the learner, and integration of technology.  Actual numbers of positions are dependent upon the enrollment.

Classrooms will be structured with teachers who will co-plan and co-teach.  In the event of an absence of one co-teacher, the other co-teacher will be responsible for carrying out all regular professional duties without additional compensation. Substitute teachers are not available during this summer programming.  Progress reports will be required to be completed for parents on the last day of the program.
