2023-2024 Salary

$15.91/hr. per RSPA Master Agreement for Classification II

+ 1% additional off-schedule increase ($0.16/hr.) = $16.07/hr.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:            

  1. High School Diploma with excellent command of the English language.
  2. Demonstrated ability to utilize technology and software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Drive, with an aptitude for learning new programs.
  3. Ability to accomplish tasks with frequent interruptions and minimal supervision.
  4. Ability to interact positively with the professional staff and the general public.
  5. Ability to maintain an exceptionally high degree of confidentiality and exhibit sensitivity to the particular concerns of the parents of special needs children.
  6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience with Mi-Star or other software management system for school-based Medicaid services
  2. Knowledge of school-based Medicaid processes, programs, and requirements
  3. Experience or knowledge of PCG application or similar for maintaining and updating staff pool list

JOB GOAL: To provide Medicaid support for all staff related to School Based Medicaid Services

 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:  The performance responsibilities listed below represent an overview of the responsibilities for this position.

 

  1. Interacts with client parents with sensitivity to their particular concerns as a positive public relations advocate for the Rochester Community Schools.
  2. Maintains student IEP data from RCS SIS and IEP Management System to Oakland Schools Service Tracking System.
  3. Manages and maintains Medicaid School Based Services System users and permissions for service tracking.
  4. Verifies Medicaid eligibility and shares eligible list of students with appropriate staff.
  5. Coordinates with Oakland Schools and their designee regarding quarterly staff pool submissions, random moment time study compliance, and staff licensure verification.
  6. Department point person for all components of school-based Medicaid Billing Service Capture, this includes general education components.
  7. Notify staff of Random Moment Time Studies (RMTS), Open Billings, and follow up with staff to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  8. Provides reports related to Medicaid as requested including completed and open billings,
  9. Completes exit procedures for all students who leave special education due to graduation and/or decertification.
  10. Completes Protocol Maintenance/Destruction and Special Ed File Destruction
  11. Assists in the continuation of training, monitoring, and maximizing Direct Service Claiming (DSC) Medicaid Reimbursement for Special Education students with health-related billable services.
  12. Provides support to staff and administrative staff relating to Medicaid billing for DSC Reimbursement.
  13. Coordinates with interdepartmental staff to maximize the Medicaid Reimbursement with the utilization of our Staff Pool and Grant Funded staffing. Maintains and utilizes the staff pool application with changing staff and Grant requirements.
  14. Provide compliance monitoring for Plan of Care and IEP document requirements for C4S and DSC.
  15. Supports Summer Rollover of Synergy and MiStar student population and data.
  16. Performs other Special Education activities as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Special Populations.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  1. 12 month position
  2. 8 hours per day; except during modificed schedule periods such as during June, July and August
  3. Salary and benefits as per master agreement for Classification II

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  1. An employee working in this assignment will be required to sit for long periods of time and work on a desktop computer.
  2. Data entry and record search is a large part of the duties of this position and repetitive hand motion will be required.

 

REQUIRED POSITION TESTS:

Microsoft Office Current District Version: Intermediate Word and Excel, and PowerPoint; and Office Basic Outlook; OPAC Clerical Skills Assessments in: Bank Deposits/Petty Cash; Customer Service Phone Skills; Numeric/Alpha/Record Locator Tests, Sentence Clarity, and Spelling.  Encounter Software: Interpersonal/Teamwork Assessment
